The MV Skansonia

Best For: Waterfront receptions and cocktail events, corporate gatherings and networking functions, intimate weddings and ceremonies, private celebrations with Seattle water views

Estimated Budget Range: $2,500–$8,000+ for venue rental (estimate based on waterfront Seattle market rates and vessel-based venues). Actual costs depend on guest count, date, time of day, and season. Contact the venue directly for precise pricing and package details.

What planners usually like:

• Distinctive waterfront setting that requires minimal additional décor and provides a memorable backdrop for photos
• Flexible business hours (8:30 AM–6:30 PM weekdays, 10:00 AM–5:00 PM weekends) accommodates various event start times
• Reputation for clear communication and collaborative approach with clients to customize events
• Seattle location on Northlake Way offers accessible parking and proximity to downtown

Things to clarify before booking:

• Confirm actual guest capacity and layout options, as this information isn't publicly listed—critical for understanding what size events the vessel can accommodate
• Verify what's included in rental (tables, chairs, linens, bar service, catering options, restroom facilities) versus what requires outside vendors
• Ask about water-dependent restrictions—confirm policies for weather contingencies, seasonal availability, and any permit or licensing requirements unique to vessel events
• Clarify setup/breakdown time allowances and whether there are additional fees for early arrival or late departure
