The Modern Vancouver

Best For: Cocktail receptions and evening networking events, late-night celebrations and after-parties, corporate mixers and product launches, intimate wedding receptions or rehearsal dinners

Estimated Budget Range: $2,000–$8,000+ for a private event (estimate based on Vancouver market rates for dedicated event venues; actual costs depend on guest count, day of week, and catering selections). Contact the venue directly for precise quotes, as pricing structure isn't publicly listed.

What planners usually like:

• Extended weekend hours (open until 2:00 AM Friday/Saturday) accommodate late-night events and eliminate early cutoff concerns
• Early weekday opening at 9:00 AM allows flexibility for daytime corporate events, breakfasts, or setup time
• W Broadway location in an accessible, vibrant neighborhood with nearby parking and transit options
• Consistent operating hours throughout the week simplify scheduling across different event dates

Things to clarify before booking:

• Request specific room capacity details and layout options—the listing doesn't specify square footage or guest count limits, which are essential for planning
• Confirm what's included in pricing: tables, chairs, bar setup, AV equipment, or if these are add-on costs
• Ask about the venue's catering policy—whether they have preferred vendors, allow outside catering, or operate an in-house kitchen
• Discuss setup and breakdown time allowances, especially if you're planning a morning event or need extended prep time before evening service
