Common questions
What types of events does Casa Alto Alice typically accommodate?
The venue is positioned as a flexible gathering space suitable for private celebrations, corporate meetings, intimate receptions, and social events. To understand the full range of possibilities—such as whether they host weddings, product launches, or artistic exhibitions—you'll need to contact them directly at +55 21 99498-1393, as their website doesn't detail specific event categories.
Are the extended weekend hours (8:30 AM – 10:00 PM) suitable for all-day events?
Yes, the weekend schedule allows for events spanning most or all of the operating day. However, you should confirm with the venue whether they allow back-to-back bookings, setup time before the official opening, or breakdown time after 10:00 PM, as these factors affect your actual available hours.
How do I get pricing information if it's not listed online?
Contact Casa Alto Alice directly at +55 21 99498-1393 to request a quote. Be prepared to provide guest count, preferred date(s), specific time duration, and any special services needed (catering, equipment rental, etc.), as these details significantly impact the final cost.
Is this venue easily accessible for guests coming from different parts of Rio de Janeiro?
Cosme Velho is a centrally-located neighborhood in Rio's South Zone, making it reasonably accessible from many areas. However, parking availability in this historic neighborhood can be limited. Ask the venue about nearby parking options, public transportation access, and whether they have on-site parking for guests before confirming your booking.
What should I ask about when discussing catering and beverage options?
Determine whether Casa Alto Alice allows outside catering or requires you to use their approved vendors, what beverages are permitted (alcohol policies vary by neighborhood and venue type), whether they have kitchen facilities if you bring your own caterer, and if there are restrictions on food service hours during your event.
Since they're closed Mondays, how far in advance should I book?
Given that the venue is only open Tuesday–Sunday, weekend dates tend to book quickly. Plan to contact them at least 4–6 weeks ahead for Saturday and Sunday events, and 2–3 weeks ahead for weekday bookings. This allows adequate time for coordination and gives you options if your preferred dates aren't available.
