Casa em Festa

Start by discussing your specific date, approximate guest count, and event type. Request their complete pricing structure (per-person catering costs, room rental, service charges), included amenities list, and available time slots. Ask whether they offer package deals or if pricing is customized per event. This initial call should take 10-15 minutes and give you enough information to decide if further consultation is worthwhile.

Banquet halls with buffet service typically offer menu options at tiered price points based on food quality and variety. Ask Casa em Festa specifically about menu selections available, whether clients can customize menus, dietary accommodation options (vegetarian, gluten-free, etc.), and if beverage service is separate from food pricing. Buffet venues work well for casual to semi-formal events but may feel less intimate than plated service.

Banquet halls offer climate control (important in Rio's humidity), predictable indoor settings regardless of weather, and typically more flexible capacity options. They're generally more affordable than restaurants for large groups and provide dedicated event space rather than dividing a dining room. However, they usually require you to commit to their catering rather than bringing external vendors, so verify what flexibility exists before booking.

Yes—if you're planning a Sunday event, Casa em Festa won't work for you. For Saturday events, confirm exact closing time and whether you need the space cleared by the 6 PM operating hour cutoff, or if extended hours are available for an additional fee. Many Rio event planners prefer venues with Sunday availability, so this is an important limitation to factor into your venue comparison.

Request a detailed contract specifying the event date, time slot, maximum capacity, exact services/amenities included, catering menu and pricing, cancellation policy, payment schedule, and liability coverage. Confirm whether gratuity is automatically added and what happens if you exceed the booked guest count. Ask about their policy on outside decorators, entertainment, and whether they provide a venue coordinator on event day.

Request per-person pricing (food + room rental divided by expected guests) rather than flat quotes, which makes comparison easier. Ask for identical scenarios at multiple venues—same guest count, date type (weekday vs. Saturday), and menu level. Request references from recent clients similar to your event type. Note that the lowest per-person cost isn't always the best value if services or food quality are inferior.
