Overnewton Castle

Best For:

• Intimate to mid-sized weddings (likely 50-200 guests, pending capacity confirmation)
• Couples seeking a distinctive, heritage-style setting with character
• Events that don't require weekend availability or can accommodate Friday weddings

Estimated Budget Range: Without published pricing, budget estimates are difficult. Based on the venue type (heritage castle) and Melbourne market standards, anticipate $3,000–$8,000+ for venue hire alone, plus catering and additional services. Request a detailed quote directly—actual costs will depend heavily on guest count, date, and what's included in their packages.

What planners usually like:

• Unique architectural backdrop that typically requires minimal additional decoration
• Established venue with dedicated event coordination staff
• Direct contact approach allows for customized discussions about your specific needs rather than rigid package constraints

Things to clarify before booking:

• Capacity details – Get exact guest counts for different room configurations or ceremony/reception setups
• Weekend availability – Confirm whether Saturday/Sunday events are possible, as posted hours suggest weekday-only operations
• Included services – Clarify what's provided (tables, chairs, bar setup, kitchen access, parking) versus what requires external vendors
• Rain contingency – Understand indoor/covered options, especially if outdoor spaces are part of the appeal
• Setup/breakdown times – Confirm how much time is available before and after your event window

Recommendation: Contact them early in your planning process to establish whether their availability and offerings align with your event vision and timeline.
