Clerks’ Quarters, Fort Edmonton Park

Best For:

• Historical or heritage-themed events
• Intimate gatherings (wedding ceremonies, small receptions, corporate meetings)
• Community events and educational functions
• Photo shoots leveraging authentic period architecture

Estimated Budget Range: $800–$2,500+ for venue rental, depending on group size, duration, and services included. This is an estimate based on historic site venues in the Edmonton market; actual costs vary significantly and require direct contact with the venue.

What planners usually like:

• Distinctive historic character that eliminates need for extensive décor in many cases
• Weekday availability (Wednesday–Friday) suitable for corporate and off-peak events
• Located within Fort Edmonton Park, offering scenic grounds and potential for expanded outdoor elements
• Reliable communication-focused approach mentioned in their positioning

Things to clarify before booking:

• Confirm actual guest capacity—this is critical for budget and logistics planning and isn't currently specified
• Understand what's included in rental (tables, chairs, basic setup, parking, restrooms, kitchen access) vs. what requires outside vendors
• Verify weather contingency options, especially for shoulder seasons, given the historic building constraints
• Confirm availability for setup/breakdown times, since park hours are listed as 10 AM–5 PM (may impact full-day events)
• Ask about any restrictions on catering, decorations, or equipment use typical of heritage sites
