Gartner, Inc. is an American technology research and consulting firm, founded in 1979 by Gideon Gartner. The company, headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut, specializes in technological research and offers its findings through private consulting, executive programs, and conferences. Its client base is diverse, including large corporations, government agencies, technology companies, and investment firms. By 2018, Gartner’s clients numbered over 12,000 organizations in more than 100 countries.
