What planners usually like:
- Dedicated wedding space means the venue is designed specifically for ceremonies and receptions, reducing coordination challenges with multi-purpose locations
- Garden setting provides natural photo opportunities and ambient lighting options, reducing the need for extensive decorative additions

Things to clarify before booking:
- Confirm exact guest capacity, as this directly impacts your headcount planning and whether the space suits your vision
- Request detailed breakdown of what's included in packages (tables, chairs, sound system, lighting, catering facilities) versus what requires external vendors
- Verify weather contingency options—whether there's covered space, tent provisions, or indoor backup areas for outdoor ceremony/reception elements
- Clarify booking requirements including deposit terms, cancellation policies, event date flexibility, and whether there are restrictions on outside vendors or catering providers
Common questions
What's the typical weather situation for outdoor garden ceremonies in Cebu, and how should we prepare?
Cebu experiences tropical climate with hot, humid conditions year-round and high rainfall from June through November. For garden ceremonies at this venue, plan for afternoon heat and afternoon thunderstorms during rainy season. Request details from the venue about tent rental options, covered areas, and their standard weather contingency procedures so you can schedule accordingly and protect your guests.
How far is The Mactan Newtown Ceremonial Garden from Mactan airport and main hotels?
The Mactan Newtown location is approximately 5-10 minutes from Mactan Cebu International Airport (depending on traffic), making it convenient for destination weddings. The development typically has proximity to mid-range and premium hotels. Ask the venue for a detailed location map and a list of nearby accommodation options they typically recommend to guests.
What's usually included versus what we need to source separately at garden venues in Cebu?
Most Cebu garden venues typically include the ceremony space and basic reception setup, but catering, photography, videography, florals, and entertainment often require separate coordination. Contact this venue directly to request an itemized list of what's provided (tables, chairs, linens, sound system, restroom facilities) so you can accurately budget for external vendors and understand any restrictions they have on outside suppliers.
Are there nearby vendors or does the venue have preferred vendor lists?
Garden venues in Mactan often have established relationships with local caterers, florists, photographers, and musicians. Ask whether the venue provides a preferred vendor directory, if they require vendors to meet specific standards, and whether using outside vendors incurs additional fees. This significantly impacts both your vendor selection process and final budget.
What's the timeline for ceremony and reception if we book this venue for a full day event?
Clarify with the venue whether they offer morning ceremonies with afternoon receptions, afternoon ceremonies with evening receptions, or flexible timing. Ask about setup time before your event, breakdown time afterward, and whether there are time restrictions (particularly important in residential or mixed-use developments like Mactan Newtown where noise ordinances may apply).
How does the venue handle guest parking and logistics on wedding day?
Since Mactan Newtown is a planned development, parking availability and traffic flow are important operational details. Confirm whether there's dedicated parking for wedding guests, if valet service is available or recommended, and whether the venue coordinates guest arrival flow. For destination weddings with many out-of-town guests, understanding parking and site navigation is crucial for guest experience.
