Glebe Community Centre

Best For:

• Community workshops, training sessions, and educational seminars
• Local organization meetings and civic gatherings
• Small-to-medium social events (birthday parties, family celebrations)
• Fitness classes, recreational programs, and wellness activities

Estimated Budget Range: Community centres in Ottawa typically range from $200–$800+ for room rentals depending on space size, duration, and time of booking. Peak times (evenings/weekends) may cost more. This is an estimate; actual pricing requires direct contact with the venue.

What planners usually like:

• Extended weekday hours (until 9:00 PM) provide flexibility for evening events and working professionals
• Central Glebe location offers good accessibility and parking for Ottawa residents
• Community-focused pricing model generally offers better value than private venues for non-profit and local events
• Direct city management means straightforward booking processes and consistent policies

Things to clarify before booking:

• Request specific room capacities and available spaces—the listing doesn't specify how many rooms exist or their dimensions
• Confirm what amenities are included (tables, chairs, kitchen facilities, AV equipment, WiFi) and what requires additional rental
• Ask about weekend availability and pricing, as Saturday/Sunday hours are limited (4:00 PM closing)
• Understand cancellation policies, deposit requirements, and any restrictions on event types (alcohol, catering, decorations, outside vendors)
