Event Description
The New Zealand Improv Festival serves up a smorgasbord of improvised theatre to Wellington, New Zealand, all performed by the country’s top companies and practitioners. Improvisation theatre, improv theatre, or simply improv, is a form of theatre that is improvised: none of the presented scenes are previously rehearsed. There are no scripts, no lines to remember; only spontaneous creation and generosity on stage. NZIF is your opportunity to witness our top companies and performers pushing the boundaries of what improv is and can do, and creating theatre that has never and will never be seen again.
