Event Description

The 91st SOFCOT Congress, held in November 2016 will be marked by innovation: Technological innovation first, with the arrival of digital technology in the Congress’ operating rooms. And in all other  forms: hybrid rooms (CT or MRI in the operating room), sterilizable digital tablets, management software, decision support, from preoperative planning, computer assisted surgery, augmented reality, simulators, 3D model patient, 4D ultrasound etc. These digital technologies will revolutionize our operating rooms in the years and decades to come. Orthopedics is a specialty that is well suited to these applications and it is not futile to try to be a bit futuristic in 2016.
