Chicago Gourmet 2023

The Chicago Gourmet recipe is simple. We combined great chefs, delicious food and drinks, a spectacular setting, and you. Added a dash of Fall, stirred, and enjoyed! This year’s ingredients? Check it out.

We started with Tacos & Tequila. This event wowed the crowd with tacos galore, premium tequilas, and lively music on the Harris Theater rooftop at Millennium Park. Hosted by chef Rick Bayless and presented by US Foods, Tacos & Tequila on Thursday, Sept 22nd started the weekend off right.

Next? We added the Hamburger Hop. A Chicago Gourmet superstar, the Hamburger Hop, hosted by chef Stephanie Izard and presented by Buckhead Meat and Blue Moon, was a fab Friday filled with sizzling burgers from top chefs, cold beer, and wine & spirits on the Harris Theater rooftop. The Hamburger Hop, along with lunch event Somm Sessions featuring wine + music pairings at LÝRA and the Late Night Gourmet after-party at Tao Chicago, made Friday, Sept 23rd a fan favorite day for a reason.

The flavors continued to build on Saturday with the beloved Grand Cru. Presented by UnitedHealthcare and Lexus, the Grand Cru featured the world’s finest wines and spirits from Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits, and unforgettable cuisine from award-winning chefs all on the beautiful Harris Theater Rooftop. It’s the event so nice, we did it twice. Two sessions on Saturday, Sept 24th were a lovely and delicious way to spend the day.

Last but not least, we’re added a German twist this year. Chicago Gourmet’s new “Prost! In The Park”, hosted by Chef Sarah Grueneberg and presented by Performance Foodservice, delivered a sure-fire Sünday Fünday on Sept 25th on the Harris Theater rooftop. This gourmet Oktoberfest delighted guests with an afternoon of German classics, fun cocktails, steins of cold beer, and lots of oom-pah. We can’t think of a better way to close out the weekend.
